DEMCON Multiphysics, as an independent part of the DEMCON group, is a high-level mechanical and process engineering company in the field of physical problems. We study heat transfer, fluid dynamics, mechanics, electromagnetism, acoustics and particle physics, always to solve a concrete technical problem. What are you going to do?
As a physicist, you will be involved in a wide variety of engineering projects. Typically, you work on complex projects, engineering at the limit of what is still possible.
From your broad technical base, your job is to 1) recognise technical risks, and 2) figure out how to solve them. The challenge is different on every project, and typically you work on multi-physical problems. So you are expected to be able to combine your knowledge of electromagnetism, fluid dynamics & heat transfer, classical mechanics, optics and particle physics to move projects forward. You use COMSOL Multiphysics to simulate these issues.
You use your technical knowledge to convince people and act as a source of questions within the department and within projects. You are involved in substantive brainstorms and are involved in time estimates in quotation processes. You are responsible for presenting your advice to clients and project members.
What do you bring to the table?
- You have a degree or PhD in engineering physics.
- You have exceptional analytical skills and a broad technical base.
- You have >5 years of relevant work experience in a high-tech environment.
- You have worked with COMSOL for several years.
- You are enterprising and creative, recognise and translate technical problems or new technical developments into possible projects and solutions.
