What are you going to do?

As Mechanical Engineer High Tech you work on projects in the high tech field (such as Semicon).

You often deal with designs on a µm-level scale and attention to detail is important.

In multidisciplinary teams you develop new concepts from a blank sheet of paper to a working prototype. Herein innovation is key. Furthermore you will see tangible results from your work.

You share responsibility with the team to make the mechanical elements within our complex problems succeed. You start with defining and processing specifications. Afterwards you are responsible in the concept phase for creating and underpinning the conceptual design with calculations, analyses and test setups. Here, precision mechanics, tolerance analysis and manufacturability are for example aspects which you will be dealing with on a daily basis.

You develop the complete concept and detailed design, take care of contracting out the critical system components and supervise the realization and integration. In all these activities, alignment with the project team, suppliers and the customer is essential to arrive at a qualitative overall solution.

What do you bring to the table?

  • You have obtained a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or the like;
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering and experience with 3D CAD (preferably SolidWorks);
  • You are creative, driven, pro-active, have strong communication skills and are a real team player

What do we offer you?

At Demcon we value a nice workplace. For example, we have good coffee and there is free fresh fruit waiting for you every week. There is also a lot of personal attention and we discourage overtime because we know how important home is.

Furthermore, you can count on, among other things:

  • A good, market-based salary;
  • 31 days off and 8% vacation allowance;
  •  A good pension plan at Zwitserleven;
  • The opportunity to follow training and courses through the Demcon Academy so you can further develop your knowledge;
  • A laptop and telephone from work;
  • Bicycle plan;
  • Active personnel association (monthly activities such as drinks and an annual Demcon weekend) and annual sporting events.
