For our companies Demcon production and Demcon metal injection moulding we are looking for a pragmatic and motivating manager quality and business improvement, with experience in a strictly regulated industrial environment.

Organization

As Demcon we are working on technological solutions to social challenges. We do this by developing, manufacturing and supplying high-quality technology and innovative products.

Demcon production (DP) specializes in the industrialization and assembly of complex mechatronic products and systems for demanding markets such as medical and high-tech systems.

Demcon metal injection moulding (DMIM) specializes in the metal injection moulding process, a modern production technique that offers great potential for the design and production of complex, metal parts.

Both companies are located in Enschede.

What are you going to do?

As manager quality and business improvement you lead a team of 4 quality (lead) engineers.

You will report directly to the managing director of Demcon production with a functional reporting line towards the manager corporate QA/RA and manager corporate HSE. You will be part of the management teams of DP and DMIM.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary representative for both companies, externally and internally, for all matters related to quality;
  • Ensure that the quality management system remains compliant with external certification requirements and any relevant internal group policies and procedures;
  • Lead and manage systems related to corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), ensure these are implemented and closed out within agreed time scales;
  • Lead and manage appropriate systems related to customer feedback;
  • Act as primary liaison for all external and internal audits;
  • Lead and manage the cross-functional business improvement program;
  • Assess, monitor and implement appropriate Key Performance Indicators for the business;
  • Ensuring all activities and undertaken in accordance with corporate HSE policy and practices.

What do you bring?

  • Bachelor degree in a technical direction.
  • Managerial experience in the field of quality management. Experience with ISO 9001, ISO13485 and preferably ISO45001.
  • Experienced in continuous improvement methodologies (policy deployment, 8D, root cause analysis, risk management, etc.). Preferably certified lean black belt with some knowledge of six sigma.
  • Preferably experience in a regulated industrial environment (e.g. medical, high-tech, defence) in combination with new product introduction.
  • Strong leader. Hands-on mentality. Persuasive and able to influence effectively. Focussed on team and personal development.
  • Strong communication skills at different levels and able to build bridges between the department and other disciplines.
  • Good command of the Dutch and English languages, both oral and written.
