We are looking for a dedicated lead assembly technician, who is interested in assembling and testing complex liquid and gas systems.
Besides your assembly tasks, you will coordinate work on the shop floor and be the first point of contact when it comes to production.
About Demcon
Convergence started in 2010 as a spin-off from the University of Twente. Since then, Convergence has specialised in making custom-made measurement and control systems for liquids and gases. Our systems are delivered to our international customer base consisting of prestigious universities, corporate innovation labs, life science and biopharma companies.
The company became part of the Demcon group in the summer of 2022 and with that the name was changed to Demcon convergence. Together with the Demcon group, we will further expand and professionalise the company.

What are you going to do?
- Assembling and testing complex liquid and gas systems.
- Answering questions from assembly technicians and solving problems.
- Setting the planning together with the engineering manager and project managers.
- Thinking along about possible improvements and changes in the work processes.
- Being the link between production and other activities within the company.
- Training and supervising new staff.
- Ensuring the safety of employees and visitors and guaranteeing the quality of work.
- Working in day shift at our location in Enschede.
Although we work from a product standard, no system is the same. Our systems are usually put together by our engineering department on the basis of customer requirements.
What do you bring to the table?
- You have completed education at at least mbo level 3/4, preferably in a technical field, such as mechanical or electrical engineering.
- You have general assembly/machinery work experience. Specific experience in the field of liquid and gas systems is an advantage.
- You preferably have experience with lean in production.
- You are a team player with a proactive and flexible attitude.
