Function
The goal of the internship is to find and implement a suitable object classifier for maritime application, using the best tools available. The internship would include the following activities: researching and evaluating available classification networks/algorithms (e.g. YOLO, R-CNN, Xception, …), finding and/or assembling a dataset if needed (e.g. COCO, ImageNet, VAIS, SeaShips, …), implementing the selected network or algorithm and evaluating classification performance on an unmanned surface vessel.
Requirements
- Master student in the area of artificial intelligence, computer science or related
- Experience with artificial intelligence
- Experience with programming
- Experience with computer vision, deep learning, C++/Python is a pre
