Recently a new connectivity standard was defined: the Matter protocol. This protocol looks promising since it is developed by a group of large tech companies. For this reason, it is important for DEMCON to become familiar with this new technology.
During this assignment, a sensor network will be build using Matter. We will create a CO2 sensor network, to ensure a healthy working environment for our colleagues. First, appropriate developer kits should be selected, a system design should be made, and a proper CO2 sensor should be selected. Next the firmware and dashboard applications will be developed.
During this assignment, the student will:
– Learn about the Matter protocol
– Design a sensor network system
– Develop firmware for sensor nodes
– Integrate these custom sensor nodes in a Matter network
– Present the outcome of the research within DEMCON
Bachelor of Master student in the field of Computer Science, or similar studies
