What are you going to do?
There is a need within Demcon Enschede (Electrical Engineering Department) for an accurate battery-powered reference source for our conducted and radiated emission test setup in our EMC lab. This generates a reference signal to check these test setups for errors and inaccuracies before the final tests are performed. Through this method, it is possible to ensure the quality of the test setups and the corresponding results.
The reference source must meet the set requirements in terms of accuracy in terms of frequencies and test levels for a longer period of time. A minimum lifetime of 5 years should be considered. The result will have to be a working proto type which will only be used within Demcon’s EMC lab.
The following sub-goals apply to the design assignment:
• Draw up requirements
• Define functions
• Concept design (Electrical, incl. simulations)
• Electrical design (Schematics and layout/Orcad and Cadence)
• Mechanical design (Plastic enclosure design, 3D design solidworks, 3D print)
• Integration, verification measurements and debugging
