What are you going to do?

You will be responsible for a group of around 25 software and electrical engineers. You will make sure that the right engineers are assigned to the right projects and facilitate their long-term professional development. Next to this you will work on the quality and innovation of the Software and Electrical Engineering Department.


Your responsibilities

·        Responsible for people management; developing, coaching and assessing the engineers within the department;

·        Assigning the right engineers to projects and monitoring the quality and efficiency of their work in the projects;

·        Coordinate with the engineering manager, fellow group leaders, project managers, and the business operations manager for project planning and alignment;

·        Recruit, select and ensure onboarding of new employees;

·        Setting up, improving and guaranteeing the way of working by ensuring that employees work according to the correct methods (including Demcon Way of Working);

·        Strengthen Demcon culture, innovation and knowledge;

·        Maintain a network in the region, for example with TU/e, Fontys and relevant partners;

·        Strategic development of the department by ensuring that the right competences are developed taking into account the needs of the future market.

What do you bring to the table?

·        Technical knowledgeable in software and/or electrical engineering;

·        Technical bachelor or master degree;

·        A bridge builder between people, departments and projects;

·        An inspiring personality and strong people manager.
