Customer support / production planner

From its role as contract manufacturing (service provider), Demcon production is in direct contact with its customers and operates as an independent company within the Demcon group. You are part of the Supply Chain team within Demcon production. The team consists of customer support, master/production planning, purchasing, supply chain engineering and warehousing/shipping.

What are you going to do?
As a customer support & production planner, you are responsible for serving your customer portfolio in the best possible way. Your mission is to help them realize their goals through our products and services. You are an important link in the realization of our deliveries and services to our customers on both tactical and operational level. You know what is going on with the customer and translate every challenge into a positive ‘experience’ for the customer with the goal to increase customer satisfaction and prevent escalations.
In this role, you will be the person who proactively monitors the operational performance of a fixed customer portfolio. Think of logistical and qualitative KPi’s of deliveries and service but also the forecast and contractual agreements.
In addition, your focus is the follow-up of customer orders. This concerns the handling of requests from our customers for products and services taking into account the contractual agreements made as well as planning the orders for production. Your tasks also include managing the shipping process including taking care of the corresponding documentation.
In this role, you form an extremely important link between customer, program management, master planning and warehouse. You are the single point of contact for our customers.
Together with the team, we ensure a proper distribution of work so that we can serve the total customer portfolio optimally.
What do you bring to the table?
- Bachelor’s degree working and thinking level and a completed commercial economic education;
- Education/courses in the direction of commercial (such as NIMA A) is an advantage;
- Several years (1-2) work experience in a commercial environment;
- Excellent communication skills, command of the Dutch and English language both verbally and in writing;
- Creative and good at collaboration both internally and externally;
- Emphatic and excellent adaptability;
- Structured, process-oriented and able to prioritize;
- Personal leadership and ambition to exceed customer expectations.
