Introduction

As a control system engineer you are responsible for establishing the control architecture of our mechatronic system concepts. You work on projects ranging from high-tech to medical or robotic systems in different stages of the development process.

Function

One moment you are working on the architecture and the next moment you are thinking about the inputs/outputs that need to be controlled and with what performance/bandwidths, making dynamic analyses, building a test setup or standardizing a development process. In addition, you actively think about the system design, the desired dynamic behavior, location of resonances and eigenfrequencies and optimal placement of sensors and actuators.

In your role, you bring structured content coherence between the system requirements, system concept and system integration. You are the link between mechanics, electronics and software, among others. In addition to your technical work, you provide substantive support to the project manager, both in acquisition and in transferring the project result to the customer.

Requirements

PhD in the field of systems & control
You are a team player and take responsibility inside and outside projects
You feel at home in the Demcon culture: creative, team player, realization-oriented, involved, customer-oriented
You are not only theoretically minded, but also have affinity with setting up and performing experiments
