About Demcon

You will work within the PR & Communications department, consisting of 8 colleagues spread across different offices. Together you are responsible for all corporate, internal and external communications of Demcon. We develop and implement plans and campaigns, create content and organize events. We are also involved in brand positioning, employer branding and press relations. You will be part of the enthusiastic and friendly team in Enschede. This team consists of an employer branding specialist, a communications specialist and communications manager. There is plenty of room for initiative within the team. You will have plenty of room to express your ideas, make proposals and work with them.

What are you going to do?

You will be responsible for conceiving and developing content for our internal and external channels. With catchy texts, stories and videos you know how to move our target groups. You collect stories from within the organization, write newsletters and messages for our intranet and websites.  You know better than anyone how to strike the right tone on social media and increase our findability in search engines. You contribute to strengthening our reputation and communicating our vision and strategy. You organize inspiring and cool (digital) events such as Tech talks, trade show presentations and employee meetings. From A to Z you are involved in devising, setting up and executing, whereby you know how to creatively involve the target group. 

Together with your colleagues you work on the communication strategy; you know how to convert the conceived concepts into text, images and sound for internal and external use. You are involved in the implementation and brand monitoring of these concepts. You translate the brand positioning into concrete activities. All in all, we are looking for an enthusiastic colleague who can take on a variety of communication projects. You will easily switch between stakeholders, activities and focus areas. 

What do you bring to the table?

  • You have a completed college/university education and several years of relevant work experience in the field of communications.
  • You know how to connect people and can switch well between the different levels within the organization.
  • You have good textual skills and a good command of the Dutch, English and preferably German language in word and writing.
  • Command of modern media and communication tools, experience with the Adobe package, WordPress, Google Analytics and Coosto is a plus.
  • You take initiative, come up with good ideas, you are transparent and result-oriented.
  • You are available for a minimum of 28 hours per week.
